Avocado, Crab and Grapefruit Spoons

Today was the first day since March or April that I could sit outside in comfort.  Hello fall in South Florida!  So we had a few spectacular treats (garden side) and this is one of them.  So Florida, so delicious and so easy.  Enjoy.

Avocado, Crab and Grapefruit Spoons


  • 8 oz. Crab Meat
  • 1 Lg. Avocado
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • 2 T. Mascarpone Cheese
  • 1/2 t. Smoked Paprika
  • Tabasco Drops (optional and to taste)


  1. Cut avocado in half; remove pit and scoop out flesh
  2. Open grapefruit and remove pulp with a teaspoon and set aside in a bowl; reserve juice
  3. Add the cheese, grapefruit juice, paprika and tabasco to the avocado and mix until the mixture is smooth;; add salt and pepper and mix again; taste and adjust seasoning
  4. Prepare the Chinese Soup Spoons by adding 1 T. of the avocado mixture; add a piece of grapefruit and top generously with some crab

Yield (16-20 Spoons)
