Italian Garden Buffet

December 6, 2011

Well I am not Italian, my garden is not Italian, but the food was Italian.  We started about noon and finished about 8 pm.  Some people came early, some people arrived late and then some stayed all afternoon (and I thank them for their help).

This is the time of year we love to celebrate in the garden here in South Florida so when we are able to harvest and eat our first Juliette Tomatoes (grown at home in our own gardens) we invite some friends and make many tastes of Italy (well, it could be any country, but this is our favorite buffet ).  All of the dishes are simple, some can be made the day before and/or prepped for fast preparation on the day of the buffet.  It is also usually shortly after Thanksgiving and everyone is interested in some other flavors and light fare.
