Celebrate National Pasta Month in October 2011

Although my mother was Irish and my father was French we celebrated “Italian Pasta” by eating quite a few different pastas when I was growing up in Connecticut and Florida.  But when I left home to go to work for Trans World Airlines in “1967” and flew to Rome for many years pasta dishes brought a different meaning to my life.  The variety was endless in the pasta itself and with the variations of the sauces came all the wonderful stories from the “origins” to the variations of the “family” recipes.  Try some new ones for yourself whether from the north or south and anywhere in between and be amazed.  (Scroll down to view and click on the “Name of the Dish” to see the recipe.

Fettucine Alfredo

Rigatoni alla Vodka

Spaghetti Carbonara

Straw and Hay

Shrimp Scampi Linguini
