Tapas All Night Menu

September 19, 2011

Last night I had a group of friends over to watch the “Emmys” and we all enjoyed a variety of “Tapas”.  It’s a great way to entertain friends and family and still be involved in the party.  There is a lot of prep work (all quite easy) but a large percentage can be done the day and night before.  Put out plenty of the meat and cheese platters and bowls of Spanish Olives and a large selection of nuts to get your guests started.  Hire a “kitchen helper” (no need for a chef, just someone who likes to saute) to assist with the hot “tapas” that you want to keep coming throughout the evening.  The other foods can just be replenished from the refrigerator or the stove top.  A simple selection of Spanish red and white wines and Spanish beer completes the menu.

Wow, I didn’t even watch the Emmys, but am suddenly wishing I was at this party. What a great spread.
