Peanut Butter Cookies

Peanut butter lovers rejoice today, National Peanut Butter Day, January 24.  So of course I had to have my share.  Just the old-fashioned plain and simple cookie.  A super fast cookie to make and seems super fast to eat too.  Enjoy.

  Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. Butter
  • 1/2 C. Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 C. Sugar
  • 1/2 C. Brown Sugar
  • 1 Lg. Egg
  • 1/2 t. Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 t. Salt
  • 1/2 t. Baking Soda
  • 1 C. Flour

Preparation

  1. Cream together the butter and peanut butter
  2. Beat in both sugars and mix well
  3. Stir in the egg, vanilla, salt baking soda and flour
  4. Arrange by teaspoonfuls on cooky sheets
  5. Press flat with a floured spoon or mark with a floured fork
  6. Bake until firm (about 10 minutes)

(Makes about 24 [med-large] cookies)
