New Year’s Day Brunch Menu “2011”
This is an easy brunch to put together for any day of the year. I made the citrus soup the day before and it chilled all night. The salad was all done up resting in a bag, ready to put in a bowl, with the dressing on the side made yesterday as well. Same goes for the quiche and tomatoes, just take out of the refrigerator and bake at the same time. A quick walk to the bakery (yes, they were open New Year’s Day morning) for some croissants, some leftover parmesan and swiss spread with some ham and they were ready in 10 minutes. I did bake the pie the evening before and it was sitting on the table awaiting some hungry people. Almost no work for this great brunch on the first day of the year!
