Gorgonzola Stuffed Celery

December 9, 2010

This is one of my favorite things to snack on whether it be for a party of home alone.  Make it as spicy as you like or tame it without the Tabasco.  I believe I have been making this for about a hundred years and it is still just as popular as the first time, tried and true.

Gorgonzola Stuffed Celery

  • 6 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 6 oz. Gorgonzola Cheese (softened)
  • 1 T. Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 1/4 C. Sour Cream
  • 1/2 t. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/8 t. Tabasco
  • 10 Ribs Celery (ends trimmed, cut in 2″ pieces)
  • Paprika (for Garnish)
  • Black Pitted Olives (for Garnish)
  • Fresh Parsley (for Garnish)

  1. In a large bowl mash the cream cheese, Gorgonzola and butter (use food processor for a smoother mixture)
  2. Drizzle in the sour cream while mashing
  3. Add the Worcestershire and Tabasco and throughly combine
  4. Fill the celery with the cheese mixture
  5. Plate the celery and garnish with paprika, olives and parsley

(Makes about 30 pieces)

This has to be made, When I was little, my mom always did the traditional cream cheese stuffed celery but with my love of blue cheese makes this a definite “must try”.
