Sauteed Spinach with Pignoli Nuts and Golden Raisins

This is probably my most favorite side dish to serve with so many things.  I am a spinach lover and it has taste beyond belief and can be made in moments.  The first time I enjoyed this was in Milano and almost every time I was there it was one of the things that I always ordered.  It was just as delicious at a local trattoria or a fancy restaurant and can be made at home by anyone as well.

Sautéed Spinach with Pignoli Nuts and Golden Raisins


  • 1 Bag of  Spinach
  • 1/2 C. Golden Raisins
  • 1/2 c. Pignoli Nuts
  • 2 T. Butter


  1. Saute the nuts and raisins in a large pan with 1 T. butter for a few minutes
  2. Add the spinach and 2 T. butter in the pan and continuously toss
  3. Serve immediately when spinach is cooked (1-4 minutes, depending how long you like the spinach cooked) 

 (Serves 2-4) If you love spinach, plan on 1 bag for 2 people.
