Garlic Mushrooms

November 12, 2010

Here is another simple and flavorful tapa or side dish.  Here I used the easy to find button mushrooms and sliced them.  You could also just leave them whole if they are bite size.  I also make them either way to serve along with a delicious steak.  If you are having a “Tapa Party” make plenty of these mushrooms as they will be high on everyone’s list of must haves!

Garlic Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 4 Garlic Cloves (peeled and minced)
  • 1 Chili Pepper (chopped) Optional
  • 2 T. Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Freshly Ground Pepper
  • Fresh Parsley for Garnish

 Preparation

  1. Heat the oil and saute the garlic and chili pepper about 2 minutes
  2. Add the mushrooms and saute
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  4. Serve in warmed small cazuelas
  5. Garnish with parsley

(Serves 3-4)
